PRE-CARE AND AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS

PRECARE INSTRUCTIONS

HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR UPCOMING PERMANENT COSMETICS APPOINTMENT

  • Discontinue Retinol, Glycolic Acid for 30 days prior to your appointment
  • Do Not take any vitamins A, E, B6, Niacin, Fish Oil, Omega3 (they all contribute to thinning of the blood) for a minimum of 7 days prior to your appointment.
  • Do not take aspirin, Ibuprofen or advil the day of your appointment. 
  • Do not pluck/ wax/ thread one week before the procedure
  • Do not have any type of facial treatment 2 weeks before procedure
  • Do not work out the day of the appointment
  • Do not drink alcohol 24 hours before the treatment
  • Do not consume caffeine (coffee, energy drinks, tea. pre workout) the day of your appointment
  • Arrive to your appointment with clean face, no make up or moisturizers applied
  • COMPLETE YOUR TREATMENT CONSENT FORM PRIOR TO YOUR APPOINTMENT

Aftercare Instructions

EYEBROW AFTERCARE

DAY 1 – IMMEDIATELY AFTER PROCEDURE

• Blot brows every 15–30 minutes for 2–3 hours to remove lymph fluid.

• Do not wash brows today.

• Apply a rice-grain amount of ointment if advised by your artist.

• Brows may look dark, bold, or slightly swollen.

DAYS 2–3

• Brows may feel dry or tight.

• Apply a thin layer of ointment 1–2× daily (unless told otherwise).

• Do NOT pick, scratch, or rub.

• Avoid getting brows wet while showering.

DAYS 4–7

• Flaking and peeling begin—this is normal.

• Brows may look patchy or light underneath flakes.

• Allow flakes to fall off naturally.

• Apply ointment only if overly dry.

DAYS 7–14

• Brows start settling and softening.

• You may resume gentle washing with fragrance-free cleanser.

• Avoid makeup and sun exposure on brows.


AVOID FOR 10–14 DAYS

• Picking, scratching, or rubbing brows

• Makeup or creams on brows

• Sweating, gym, saunas, steam rooms, hot tubs

• Swimming or submerging the face

• Sun exposure and tanning beds

• Harsh skincare (retinol, acids, vitamin C)

• Sleeping on your face


WHAT YOU CAN DO

• Clean around brows gently with fragrance-free cleanser.

• Apply minimal ointment only if dry.

• Use clean pillowcases and avoid touching brows.

• Keep brows protected from sunlight.


HEALING TIMELINE

• Days 1–3: Dark, bold, slightly swollen

• Days 4–7: Flaking, itching, patchy stage

• Days 7–14: Softening, light appearance

• Weeks 3–4: Color blooms

• 6–8 weeks: Fully healed, time for touch-up

DAY 1 – IMMEDIATELY AFTER PROCEDURE

• Mild swelling, tightness, or “heavy eyelid” feeling is normal.

• Gently blot with a clean tissue to remove lymph fluid.

• Do NOT rub, wipe, or apply pressure.

• Apply a tiny amount of ointment only if given by your artist.

DAYS 2–3

• Lids may feel puffy or tender.

• Eyeliner appears darker and thicker before shedding.

• Avoid water directly on the lash line.

• No mascara or eye makeup.

DAYS 3–7

• Flaking and shedding begin—tiny dark flakes will fall naturally.

• Do NOT pick, pull, or rub.

• Eyeliner may look very light underneath the flakes—this is normal.

• Continue avoiding makeup, sweating, steam, and water exposure.

DAYS 7–10

• Shedding slows and color begins to settle.

• Gently cleanse around eyes with fragrance-free cleanser.

• Avoid rubbing or tugging the eyelid skin.


AVOID FOR 10 DAYS

• Eye makeup (mascara, eyeliner, shadow)

• Rubbing, picking, touching the lash line

• Sweating, saunas, steam rooms

• Swimming or submerging face in water

• Lash serums (Latisse, etc.)

• Lash extensions or lash lifts

• Contact lenses for 24–48 hours

• Direct sun exposure or tanning beds


WHAT YOU CAN DO

• Use a cold compress wrapped in a clean cloth to reduce swelling.

• Sleep on your back to avoid friction.

• Wear glasses instead of contacts for the first 1–2 days.

• Keep the area clean and dry.


HEALING TIMELINE

• Days 1–3: Swelling, dark bold color

• Days 3–7: Flaking and shedding

• Days 7–10: Color softens & returns

• Weeks 3–4: Color stabilizes

• 6–8 weeks: Touch-up session

DAY 1 - IMMEDIATELY AFTER PROCEDURE

Blot lips gently every 5-10 minutes for 1-2 hours to remove lymph fluid.

Apply a very thin layer of the recommended ointment.

Lips may feel swollen, tight, and appear darker than the final result.

DAYS 2-3

Keep lips lightly moisturized-do not overapply ointment.

Color may appear darker and lips may feel dry or scabby.

Do NOT pick or rub lips.

DAYS 4-7

Peeling begins. Lips may look very light underneath -this is normal.

Continue using a thin layer of ointment 2-3 times daily.

Avoid hot, spicy, or salty foods; rinse lips with water after eating.

DAYS 7-10

Peeling slows and lips soften.

Color will look light-final color takes 4-6 weeks to develop.

Continue hydrating with a gentle, fragrancel free lip balm.


AVOID FOR 10 DAYS

Picking, peeling, or rubbing lips

Lip makeup

Swimming, steam rooms, heavy sweating, or saunas

Sun exposure or tanning beds

Hot, spicy, or salty foods directly touching lips

Kissing or activities that stretch/wet lips


WHAT YOU CAN DO

Drink through a straw for the first 3 days.

Sleep on your back to avoid rubbing lips.

Wash face carefully -avoid direct contact with lips.


HEALING TIMELINE

Days 1-3: Swollen, bold color

Days 3-7: Peeling and flaking

Days 7-10: Softening

Weeks 3-4: Color returns

6-8 weeks: Final healed results & touch up appointment

LASH EXTENSION AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS

  • Avoid getting the lashes wet with water or steam 24 hours after the treatment


  • Brush the lashes daily with the brush provided for you at your appointment


  • Do not rub or touch your eyes


  • Do not use oil based products around or on the eyes


  • Do not sleep on yours face


  • Sleep on silk pillowcase


  • Do not put Mascara on the lashes


  • Do not pick out the lashes or pull on them


  • Clean eyelashes every otherday with lash foam cleanser, do not use your normal facial cleansers. If you wear eye make up(eyeshadow, eyeliner) daily, wash lashes daily.
